The practice offers a free and confidential service to all women aged 13 years and over seeking contraception and sexual health advice. All methods of contraception are offered including Implanon and intra-uterine devices. For details, please speak to our reception team.

Social Prescribing

Social prescribing, sometimes referred to as community referral, is a means of enabling GPs, nurses and other primary care professionals to refer people to a range of local, non-clinical services. It seeks to address people’s needs in a holistic way, focusing on ‘what matters to me’ as a patient, rather than ‘what is the matter with me’. Supporting individuals to take greater control of their own health. We understand that patients may struggle to discuss these issues with a GP or feel they don’t have enough time to chat. Our Social Prescribing Link Worker, Jola, will play an essential part in helping patients discuss their issues and referring them to the correct service.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgical procedures can be carried out at the practice. This offers patients a convenient service without the need for a hospital referral.

The service covers the excision of simple skin lesions, aspiration of ganglions and hydrocoeles and toenail surgery. Local steroid injections are also offered on site for conditions such as trigger finger, tennis elbow and frozen shoulder.

If you feel you would benefit from this service, please discuss it with one of the GPs.

Travel Risk Assessment

If you are travelling abroad, you may need to consider your medical history, the type of trip and if any vaccinations are needed.
