A number of antenatal appointments will be arranged during your pregnancy, frequently with a midwife or sometimes an obstetrician (doctor specialising in pregnancy). They will check the health of you and your baby and give you useful information.
Parents will be invited by the Health Visitor to attend for a six to eight-week developmental check for baby and can seek advice about behaviour, sleep, minor illnesses or family health issues. A GP will also be available if you are worried about baby.
We provide patients with the opportunity to speak to our Care Navigator. The purpose of this is to provide patients with additional help with issues that a GP may not be able to resolve.
If you have a long term condition i.e. Asthma, COPD, Hypertension, Diabetes or Heart disease you will be offered an annual review which we feel is essential to ensure you are receiving appropriate and up-to-date treatment in line with local and national guidelines.
Minor surgical procedures can be carried out at the practice. This offers patients a convenient service without the need for a hospital referral.
